WHEN ENDS WAS ENDS

There was a time where culture reigned over capital in my corner of South London.

From Little Lagos, (Peckham) to the home of the first Windrush settlers and their descendants; (Brixton).

These communities and cultures made my home the vibrant place it once was.

The continued threat of gentrification often dilutes the colour and diversity that had previously resonated throughout these neighbourhoods.

Within this series I chose to capture a yearly street party, born from Jamaican culture, but created for the entire community.
